The Body Shop这个英国有机化妆品品牌，其品牌知名度已经在中国大陆与时俱进，国内很多女性朋友都非常喜爱这个品牌的化妆品。The Body Shop还有一个好听的国产名字：美体小铺。
The Body Shop在中国大陆不仅至今没有专卖店，而且其销售体系非常混乱。随便在百度或谷歌搜一下“The Body Shop”或者“美体小铺”，就可以得到一大堆网站，其中很多网站号称 “美体小铺the body shop大陆及香港官方网站”、“THE BODY SHOP伦敦-深圳联盟店”、“the body shop中文网站”、“The Body Shop官方授权直销商”等等打着官方旗号的网站，这些网站多数不仅内容粗糙，而且很少涉及产品使用和售后服务，往往都是以销售产品为主，这点与The Body Shop大品牌形象并不相符。
但是，据笔者多年以来的了解，TBS的销售范围并不包含中国大陆地区，在中国大陆地区也不可能建立官方网站。为了了解事情的真相，笔者以一个消费者的口吻向英国The Body Shop官方网站（http://www.thebodyshop.com/）提供的联系邮箱（loveyourbody@bodyshop.com）发了电子邮件，询问这些所谓的“官方网站”真伪。以下是笔者邮件的原文：
Dear Sir/Madam,
I write the e-mail to confirm if there is any shop or web authorized by your company in Chinese mainland to sell your products.
I am a fan of The Body Shop. Several years ago, I went to HongKong and just saw The Body Shop, and then I bought something. After using them, I really loved the products. Then I always asked my friends who went to HongKong to buy them for me. One or two months ago, I saw a website(http://www.此处略去.com) on the internet which said it was authorized to sell your products. But I heard that there is no shop or web authorized by your company. So I doubt the website counterfeit your name to sell products. Could you be so kind to tell me the truth?
I am looking forward to receiving your e-mail back.

我是TBS的追随者。几年前，我去中国香港的时候发现TBS这个品牌，并且买了一些TBS的产品。当我使用过TBS的产品后，我发现我深深的喜欢上了这个 品牌。接下来我有机会就让我的同事从香港帮我带回一些TBS的产品。几个月前，我发现一个中国大陆的网站（域名省略），宣称是TBS在中国大陆的官方网 站，并且授权销售TBS的产品。但是我听说过的是，TBS在中国并没有官方授权的网站或者商铺。所以，我对此表示疑惑，希望您能告诉我这个网站是否是真 的。

笔者邮件发出后10天左右收到了The Body Shop的回复。回复邮件来自TBS国际部亚洲及太平洋地区部门，回复邮箱为（”AsiaPac Info” ）。邮件内容如下：
Dear Jessica,
Thank you for your message and for checking with us about the Website in question.
Indeed this is not a Website of The Body Shop and it is not authorized to sell our product in China. This is clearly an illegal operation and we are in the process of taking the appropriate action.
Thank you again for your feedback. We trust that you and your family will continue to be valued customers of The Body Shop International.

邮件内容的译文如下：
